Before You Conclude
We come across multiple developments daily in the sphere of international affairs. Several outlets serve rich and well-researched content to offer information in diverse forms such as podcasts, videos, written articles, etc. However, in the fast-paced lifestyle and with an abundance of resources, we somewhere lack a resource to gain a comprehensive understanding of issues, and especially not having an academic perspective that remains under the four walls of classrooms. Consequently, this may lead to uninformed or biased opinions. To bring the classroom lecture to a virtual platform to reach a wider audience and compliment the dominantly available information we bring to you ‘Before you conclude (BYC)’.
BYC is a monthly virtual lecture series aimed at fostering well-informed and erudite opinions on recent international developments and emerging debates. It focuses on analyzing issues in the sphere of geopolitics, political economy, traditional and non-traditional security threats, foreign policy, neighboured relations, and broadly covering issues related to climate, migration, and refugees, and gender. The session will invite academicians, researchers, and subject experts to deliver a 50-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute Q&A session to provide space for the audience to ask their questions and queries. The target audience is youth primarily from Jammu and Kashmir and broadly, from the entire South Asia Region.
The objectives of the sessions are to
- Educate and understand the issues in-depth, to foster a well-informed constructive dialogue.
- Present an academic perspective to grasp the various dynamics involved, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the issues examined.
